Dr. Brittany Factor

Dr. Factor grew up in the St. Louis, Missouri area and has been extensively involved with horses since childhood. Always an avid competitor, she has shown in almost every class between the pony hunters to the grand prix jumpers. Over the last few years, she has seriously delved into cow horse competition.

Dr. Factor’s undergraduate studies were performed at Stephen’s College, a well-known equestrian school. There, she worked towards a triple major in biology, chemistry, and equine science/business management. She was accepted on a fast track to the University of Missouri Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, graduating the youngest in her class.

After obtaining her doctorate of veterinary medicine, she completed 2 internships focusing on equine medicine, advanced imaging, and sport horse treatments. Both opportunities allowed her to work extensively and perform research utilizing the Equinosis Lameness Locator, an objective digital gait analysis system. She has also completed advanced certifications in both medical manipulation (chiropractic) and acupuncture.

The horse industry and veterinary medicine are ever evolving. Dr. Factor’s own continuing education and client education are very important to her. Did you know that she has been featured on HorseTails TV providing vet tips for the show?

Dr. Factor worked for one of the most prestigious sport horse practices in the country, Virginia Equine Imaging, the head veterinary coordinator of the World Equestrian games in 2010. There she served as both a team veterinarian and on-site veterinarian for equestrian events such as Young Rider Championships, Rolex Kentucky 3-day Event, Fairhill Horse Trials, Virginia Horse Trials, and Surefire Horse Trials. Dr. Factor now offers similar services at regional and premier NRCHA events across the country.

In addition to her own practice, Equine Sport Solutions, Dr. Factor has operated with her husband, 4 other successful practices in Colorado. They are excited to announce their relocation to Scottsdale, Arizona.

Equine Sport Solutions will continue to offer satellite services based out of Colorado Springs by appointment only.
