Meet Technician, Chesney

Chesney Reeves is a Nebraska native but recently relocated to Arizona to be in warmer weather and the heart of horse country. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Animal Science and was a member of the TTU Ranch Horse Team. During her time in college Chesney soaked up everything equine and also helped Texas Tech bring home two Ranch Horse Team National Championships. When she’s not helping Dr. Factor in the clinic at Fx Equine, Chesney can be found riding her own reined cow horses and cheering on her fellow competitors and coworkers at horse shows.

Meet Technician, Michelle

Michelle Hubbard grew up in the small ranching community of Cottonwood, CA. This is where her love for horses and the ranching lifestyle began. From cleaning stalls, to grooming or feeding the neighbor’s horses she always found a way to be active around horses.

When she was in high school, she got a job as a ranch hand and gradually made her way up to managing over 100 horses during the 6 years she worked there. If she wasn’t worming, vaccinating, scheduling for the farrier or the vet she would help process, vaccinate, brand and ship cattle.

After leaving the ranch, she took some time to raise her two children. Once her children were older, she jumped right back into the ranch life by working as a pen backer at Shasta Livestock Auction Yard. Several years of long and hard days were spent in the saddle but she loved every minute of it. Shortly after leaving the auction yard, she moved to Rio Verde, AZ.

Nowadays, when she’s not swimming or helping with rehabilitating horses you can find her taking cutting lessons, training her horse, volunteering as a board member, and competing with the local cutting horse association.
